Environmental Policy.

It is always the policy of Maspace that, so far as is practicable, its operations are carried out in such a manner as to comply with all relevant Environmental Protection Legislation currently in force.

This policy Statement is endorsed by the directors of Maspace and is the direct concern of all employees to be accountable for its successful implementation in their own area of responsibility.

The policy demands that all site operations undertaken by Maspace will consider any governmental statutory requirements, industry best practice and relevant British and International Standards. The incorporation of the philosophy of providing Maspace Clients with the Best Available Techniques is a further cornerstone of our company policy.

DUTY AS AN EMPLOYER

The Director of the company recognizes and accepts the general duties, which are imposed upon the Company as an employer, by UK and European Governmental Legislation. The Director with special responsibility for environmental issues (assisted by the HS&E Advisor) their role is to:

  • Always set an example by insisting that all site personnel are made aware of

  • the provisions of the Act and their own responsibilities under it.

  • Ensure that managers are given adequate information, instruction, and training to enable them to fully understand, comply and continually improve along with industry best practices and ISO/BS standards.

  • Ensure that all Maspace employees and others engaged by Maspace on site are made aware of all relevant aspects of the primary and secondary legislation including:

    • Environmental Protection Act 1990

    • Clean Air Act 1993

    • Pollution Prevention and Control Act 1990

  • Co-ordinate all liaison, consultation and co-operation with the relevant statutory bodies including:

    • Environment Agency

    • Local Authorities

    • Industry Associations

  • Bring to the attention of all clients any relevant sections of environmental legislation impacting on the work being undertaken on their behalf.

DUTY OF EMPLOYEES

Site Supervisors must accept responsibility for:

Organizing the site in such a manner as to ensure that all operations are carried out in a manner which causes minimum impact on the environment.

  • Always setting an example by utilizing the appropriate procedures and operating strictly in accordance with the operational guidelines laid down.

  • Maintaining all plant and equipment in a satisfactory condition, so as not to pollute the environment and reporting immediately any defects to the Director of Maspace.

  • Ensuring that all employees are given instruction as to the correct methods of operating so as to avoid environmental contamination.

  • Observing the requirements of relevant code of practice for the type of work being undertaken.

  • Maintaining all statutory registers and reporting all incidents at the proper time.

  • Compliance with the requirements for gathering, identifying, segregating, and safe storage and ultimate disposal of all waste materials generated by any Maspace operations.

It is expected that all employees will accept and recognize the general duties, which are imposed upon them by the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Employees must at all times:

  • Recognize that they have legal duty to take all reasonable care to observe all the provisions of the Act, especially any environmental impact, which may be affected by their actions or omissions whilst at work.

  • Co-operate fully with the company and its representatives in all matters relating to the implementation of this policy.

  • Use all plant and equipment provided in the manner laid down for efficient, pollution-free working.

  • Avoid the use of unsuitable or improvised equipment and plant and report all defects to their superiors.

  • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse any equipment provided in the interest of environmental protection.

Quality Policy.

Maspace (the ‘Organisation’) aims to provide defect-free products to its customers on time and within budget.

The Organisation operates a Quality Management System that is working towards 2015 certification, including aspects specific to the provision of electrical containment, cabling, small power, and lighting.

Maspace will ensure that:

1. The Quality Management System is continually developed and improved.
2. Training & Development – MASPACE are committed to ensuring that our operatives and management team have the latest and up – to – date qualifications to ensure that they can deliver the works safely and with the expected quality. MASPACE monitors training with a training matrix that is reviewed periodically.
3. The responsibilities and authorities for all roles are:

  • Assigned

  • Communicated

  • Understood

4. Responsibility and authority are assigned to:

  • Ensure that the system conforms to the requirements of ISO 9001

  • Ensure that the processes are delivering their intended outputs

  • Report on the performance of the system, opportunities for improvement, the need for change and innovation and for reporting to top management

  • Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organisation

  • Ensure that the integrity of the system is maintained when changes to the system are planned and implemented.

The management has a continuing commitment to:

1. Ensure that customer needs and expectations are determined and fulfilled to achieve customer satisfaction
2. Communicate throughout the Organisation the importance of meeting customer needs and all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
3. Establish the Quality Policy and its objectives
4. Ensure that the Management Reviews set and review the quality objectives, and reports on the Internal Audit results as a means of monitoring and measuring the processes and the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
5. Ensure the availability of resources

The structure of the Quality Management System is defined in our Quality Manual. All personnel understand the requirements of this Quality Policy and abide by the contents of the Quality Manual.

The Organisation complies with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.

The Organisation constantly monitors it is quality performance and implements improvements when appropriate.

This Quality Policy is regularly reviewed to ensure its continuing suitability. Copies of the Quality Policy are made available to all members of staff. Copies of the minutes of Management Reviews, or extracts thereof, will be provided to individual members of staff following their role and responsibilities as a means of communicating the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.


SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICKING POLICY 2025-26.

Modern Slavery & Anti Human Trafficking Policy & Disclosure Statement Maspace Ltd. Wherever it operates around the country is committed to conducting business with honesty and integrity; in treating people with dignity and respect and in complying with applicable laws, regulations and treaties. Maspace Ltd is also committed to protecting and promoting human rights globally. Maspace Ltd does not tolerate child labour, forced labour, including prison labour, or any use of force or other forms of coercion, fraud, deception, abuse of power or other means to achieve control over another person for the purpose purpose of exploitation.
Maspace Ltd respects international principles of human rights including, but not limited to, those expressed in the UN Declaration of Human Rights, United Nations Global Compact Principles, Children's Rights and Business Principles, Women's Empowerment Principles and those principles contained within the UK Government Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Maspace Ltd complies with the employment laws of every country in which it operates and expects those with whom it does business to do the same.
Maspace Ltd also complies with national and international laws governing supply chain management and expects those with whom it does business to do the same.

In 2026/27 Maspace Ltd will:

Continue to make all existing suppliers aware of its Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy and Disclosure Statement.

The UK Government Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires certain disclosures if they meet the threshold of turnover. Maspace Ltd do not meet that threshold at this time.
Internal processes and procedures allow us to clearly identify high risk supply chains and/or areas within our supply chains where there is an increased risk of modern slavery. It should be noted that Maspace Ltd default position is to source from suppliers where we are able to trace back to the raw material. Existing and new employees directly involved in procurement, human resources and the supply chain will be supplied with this policy containing issues of legal compliance, including modern slavery and human trafficking. All employees will be informed at induction about our policies regarding modern slavery and trafficking within a sustainability, ethical business and human rights context.
